Arch Shelter is a Brand name and Registered Business of the Splash Business Group Pty Ltd (known in short as Splash Structures) whom have marketed and supplied fabric structures since 2003.
Now What? Accountability? Are you serious?
Changes to our business model this year included examining the environmental impacts of our industry, which led to the drastic and expensive decision to drop all toxic and non-recyclable materials (e.g. PVC and Fiberglass dirivatives).
Unfortunately due to ignorance or a lack of accountability most fabric covers are destined for landfill at end of life, to break down over centuries into poisons and microplastics. A scarcity of recycling facilities has meant recyclable covers (and many other building materials like ABS) are also heading for landfill to break down.
We will now guarantee to follow the life of a cover until its end of life, to ensure that it is recycled. A great business opportunity for new dedicated recyclers. We also expect to announce some biodegrable solutions, including hard top alternatives in the new year.
Fabric Arch Shelters (soft tops) are industrial strength clear span and double truss galvanized steel frame fabric structures. Arch Shelter (our own brand) takes into consideration Cyclone Regions and other critical terrains and weather behaviours of Queensland. Imported Arch Shelters are influenced by our own Australian or American Canadian Engineering to IBC Building Standards, but where possible are modified certified to Australian and New Zealand Building Codes. Arch Shelter Domes, Hull Roof, Gable and other roof types can be mounted upon containers (known as Container Shelters, Canopies or Covers); or be installed as a Dome on the ground (known as Ground Shelters or Ground Domes); on steel posts or frames that can be 1 to 10 meters high or we can supply special footings for concrete walls.
It is the engineering of
Arch Shelters that sets them apart from Industrial Tents which is why they have been used by many industries in Queensland e.g. rural, equestrian, mining, earth moving, rail, aviation, sports and construction for almost (3) decades.
Industrial Tents and Pavilions
Industrial Tents and Pavilions are custom designed and sourced from Europe and China. These potentially massive structures have aluminium or steel frames and can be basic work horses or designer statements up to 100 meters wide. Fabric Pavilions can be permanent or temporary, however temporary fabric structures must be engineered to meet Locality Rating or be dismantled in strong weather.
Queensland has quite strict rules about siting fabric structures and portable buildings, it makes good sense to bide by these rules for everybody's safety ... including Blue Cards for workers on sites that have children and the aged.
