Wide Bay - Fraser Coast - Burnett

Arch Shelter is a Brand of fabric structures owned by Splash Structures, whom have offered a range of portable building solutions to Queensland (since 2003) that cater to the critical nature of this State.

This is our Wide Bay Fraser Coast doorway page for localities Gympie, Maryborough to Bundaberg.

Toxic or Sustainable?
We took an honest look at our industry to discover it is one of the most toxic and dangerous on the planet..

We realised that most covers could not or would not be recycled and would end up in landfill for centuries poisoning the land and waterways before breaking down into microplastics.

Now What?

Container Shelters

Container Shelters and Covers Wide Bay

Starting at 6m wide steel containers are strong fireproof support and fast to position with a bonus lock up, so ideal for industries on the move.

Hull Arch Shelters

Hull Roof Arch Shelters take heat to the apex and handle wind and rain better than most roof types. [24 M wide Ground Shelter shown]

Hangar Arch Shelters

Hangar Arch Shelters

Hangar shaped Arch Shelters are popular for sheds, work site shelters, aircraft hangars and sports pavilions.  Dome to ground best cyclone handler

Super Arch Shelters

Super Arch Shelters Wide Bay

These fab European structures that I found in Rome, Italy on the eve of Covid Announcement (I arrived back in Hervey with it) never made it to Australia but we will pursue again..

Industrial Tents

Industrial Tents and Pavilions

The biggest of the range these now strictly PE tents are hardworking structures and not out for glamour awards. 10 to 100 meters  that's cheap space.  We have fancy ones too.

Air Arch Shelters

Inflatable Buildings

Such a great idea but we learned that the inflatable industry, from air supported structures to bouncies are the most toxic of all. New year we expect some rubbery solutions.

Fabric Structures and Industrial Tents

Arch Shelter is a Brand name and Registered Business of the Splash Business Group Pty Ltd (known in short as Splash Structures) whom have marketed and supplied fabric structures since 2003.

Now What? Accountability? Are you serious?

Changes to our business model this year included examining the environmental impacts of our industry, which led to the drastic and expensive decision to drop all toxic and non-recyclable materials (e.g. PVC and Fiberglass dirivatives).

Unfortunately due to ignorance or a lack of accountability most fabric covers are destined for landfill at end of life, to break down over centuries into poisons and microplastics. A scarcity of recycling facilities has meant recyclable covers (and many other building materials like ABS) are also heading for landfill to break down.

We will now guarantee to follow the life of a cover until its end of life, to ensure that it is recycled. A great business opportunity for new dedicated recyclers. We also expect to announce some biodegrable solutions, including hard top alternatives in the new year.

Fabric Arch Shelters (soft tops) are industrial strength clear span and double truss galvanized steel frame fabric structures.  Arch Shelter (our own brand) takes into consideration Cyclone Regions and other critical terrains and weather behaviours of Queensland.   Imported Arch Shelters are influenced by our own Australian or American Canadian Engineering to IBC Building Standards, but where possible are modified certified to Australian and New Zealand Building Codes.  Arch Shelter Domes, Hull Roof, Gable and other roof types can be mounted upon containers (known as Container Shelters, Canopies or Covers); or be installed as a Dome on the ground (known as Ground Shelters or Ground Domes); on steel posts or frames that can be 1 to 10 meters high or we can supply special footings for concrete walls.

It is the engineering of  Arch Shelters that sets them apart from Industrial Tents which is why they have been used by many industries in Queensland e.g. rural, equestrian, mining, earth moving, rail, aviation, sports and construction for almost (3) decades.

Industrial Tents and Pavilions

Industrial Tents and Pavilions are custom designed and sourced from Europe and China.  These potentially massive structures have aluminium or steel frames and can be basic work horses or designer statements up to 100 meters wide.   Fabric Pavilions can be permanent or temporary, however temporary fabric structures must be engineered to meet Locality Rating or be dismantled in strong weather.

Queensland has quite strict rules about siting fabric structures and portable buildings, it makes good sense to bide by these rules for everybody's safety ...  including Blue Cards for workers on sites that have children and the aged.
